The labcd ~/labvcf 5.2 up since oct 9

A data center stack on two mini PCs, run by AI agents.

Where I practice the work I do for a living. Two small computers at home run the same VMware software big companies run their servers on. An AI agent does the typing. I do the cables and say go.

How it runs

for everyone

How it runs, in plain words.

My job is VMware. Learning it on a customer’s servers is not an option, so I keep a copy at home: two mini PCs, a switch, and the software stack I work with every day.

Setting that stack up by hand takes days of clicking through installers. Here, I plan the run with Claude, and an agent carries it out step by step while I watch.

When a step goes wrong, the agent stops and shows me the screen. Nothing that cannot be undone happens without my yes.

For builders

  1. One 2.5 Gb link per host.

A cable fault splits vSAN. Accepted for a lab; the second port stays free.

Curious how any of this works?

Ask about the lab or the agents that run it. Plain answers, no jargon required.
